"Milly’s session was inspirational, sensitive and well-paced, and she took us on a journey from our past as a team to our potential future. She really helped us to imagine a different way of working through introspection and dialogue, and to understand how we fit in the organisation as a whole.”
Virginia Llado-Buisan, Head of Book and Paper Conservation – Oxford University
Team days are always created through ongoing consultation with a client to accommodate the specific requirements of the organisation and team in question. My systemic approach ensures that the purpose and values of the organisation as
a whole are embedded in the team day programme. The day’s activities are always creative and hands-on, with space for every member of the team to be heard.
What areas can be explored?
- Leadership future planning and envisioning
- Change and mergers
- Team cohesion
- Creativity
- Myers Briggs types
- Managing pressure and stress
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Large interdisciplinary team away days - up to 150
Proposed programme outline
1) Away-day preparation
- Two-hour face-to-face meeting with the key decision-makers
- Face-to-face or email consultation with the team to define agenda and purpose
- Agenda and purpose finalised with the key decision-makers
3) Away-day follow-up
- Notes of the day compiled with any “actions” needed to be taken by the facilitator
- phone or face-to-face meeting with the key decision-makers
- Approximately three months later, a half-day (minimum) follow-up meeting with the whole team to discuss developments
- Report written covering further action points for the team

"Milly’s facilitation skills ensured the team has remained fully engaged, and she has provided focus, direction and clarity around the need to continue developing as a team. The real benefits from a management perspective have been around the team’s increased support and friendship towards each other. There’s a real understanding of the need for consistency and communication within the group.”
Shaun Diver, Operations Manager

"Ms Sinclair gave me a lot of support before, during and after the sessions and I do feel that I could contact her in the future. Ms Sinclair is very intuitive with a great deal of insight, and made sure she got to find out about each member of the team personally. I could not recommend her highly enough for a team-building exercise.”
Grace Rooney, NHS Senior Manager
Youth Services team, 22 people
“My team was going through a great time of change – two separate teams had been merged with very different remits, which was causing interpersonal problems. Milly has worked with us over two years with five one-day seminars and many consultations. The impact of these workshops has been instrumental in developing and maintaining a cohesive, committed, motivated and enthusiastic staff team, as well as supporting staff retention and professional continuous development.”
